Texas receives low ratings in nursing home review
Texas recently received poor grades when it was rated on its ability to take care of its elderly residents, according to a comprehensive review of nursing homes in America.
The review favored Alaska, Hawaii, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire with “A” ratings when it comes to properly providing elderly patients with adequate care and protection in their respective nursing home facilities, while the states of Texas, Louisiana, Indiana, and Oklahoma all got “F” marks.
Brian Lee, a nursing home advocate, says that an important aspect of increasing the quality of nursing home care is to “hire the right people.”
