Farmington nursing home facing wrongful death suit

The daughter of elderly nursing home resident Jeanette Consteanna recently filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Bloomfield Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center alleging that Consteanna died under questionable circumstances while residing at the facility.

Consteanna had been a resident of the nursing home from 2006 to 2014; she entered the home with several preexisting diagnosis, including dementia, general muscle weakness, diabetes, and hyperthyroidism, according to the claim. The lawsuit alleges that Consteanna was not provided adequate care and treatment at the facility, resulting in her body deteriorating due to weight loss, malnutrition, dehydration, various infections, an unexplained arm fracture, and bed sores.

Also named a defendant in the lawsuit was Plano-based Preferred Care Partners Management, the parent company of Bloomfield Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, and Fort Worth-based Cathedral Rock, which formerly owned Bloomfield.
