Hidden cameras caught nursing home abuse

Two nursing assistants were taken into police custody while eight others were terminated from their positions after hidden cameras installed at Saint Therese of New Hope, a nursing home in Minnesota, caught them allegedly abusing residents, according to McKnight’s on July 15.

According to a report from The Star Tribune, the families of some of the residents at the Minnesota nursing facility installed hidden cameras in the rooms of their relatives who were residents at the nursing home after noticing cuts and bruises on their loved ones.

Two nursing assistants were apparently caught abusing nursing home residents, although the nature of the abuse was not revealed publicly. The other eight nursing assistants were fired for failing to report the abuse and for using their mobile phones while dealing with the residents.
